Pharmacy Volunteers
Clinic by the Bay is a Volunteers in Medicine free clinic that has been in operation since 2010. We have had a free pharmacy since 2019. The free pharmacy is stocked with donations from long term facilities coordinated through Sirum. We are in need of pharmacists, interns and technicians willing to donate a minimum of two 2 hour shifts per month to assist with cataloging and stocking medication donations, filling prescriptions and medication reconciliation. There is the potential for pharmacists to participate as providers through a collaborative practice agreement.
Shifts available are for 2 hour or 4 hour shifts during clinic hours.
Clinic Hours are Tuesdays 12-8, Thursdays 10-6 and 2nd and fourth Saturdays of every month from 10-12pm.
Training is available Tuesday nights from 6-8pm or 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10-12pm and 2 training shifts are required before you can work on your own.Thank you for considering becoming a Clinic by the Bay pharmacy volunteer to help provide free pharmacy services for underserved communities in San Francisco and San Mateo county.
